Co-Worker Is Impressed With Caleb Long

Tuesday, August 03, 2010

As an employee of Lawson Electric and a member of the IBEW Local 175, I have had the opportunity to work with Caleb Long. I have grown to respect and admire Caleb for his ambition, his intelligence, and most importantly, his personal character.

I have seen Caleb take time to lend advice to younger co-workers, who were frustrated and growing impatient after discovering they were not selected for the apprenticeship program upon their first try. This shows me Caleb is a person that has a strong understanding of his role as a mentor. He always takes time to speak words of encouragement to his fellow co-workers.

Caleb takes pride in being a father. Caleb worked full time, while raising a son, and completing his master’s degree at UTC. Caleb has worked 60-hour weeks with his son’s name, Wyatt, written across his leather gloves and “I work for Wyatt” written across his hard hat. This shows me Caleb has a strong understanding in his role as a father.

If I knew that every member of my child’s school board was working for their “Wyatt” then I could rest assured that they are also working for my child as well.

However, I'd like to address one area of the Smart Meters' argument some citizens may not be aware of. As it is with all things with good intentions, there's usually always the underlying potential for abuse attached.   Recently, in a crime ... Cleveland Wins Region 3 Wrestling Title With Six Champions

CLEVELAND -- It's been a long, long time since anyone other than the Bradley Bears won a Region 3 wrestling tournament.
