FCA 5K Set For Labor Day at Chattanooga State

The 22nd annual 5K for Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) is Labor Day, September 6, 2010 at 8:00 a.m. (EST). Held at the student center on Chattanooga State campus, this event includes a 5k Race, a non-competitive 5k Walk, a Kiddy 1k for children 5 years and younger, and a Jr. Marathon run for 6-11 year olds.

Proceeds from the 5k race benefit the Greater Chattanooga/Southeast Tennessee Fellowship of Christian Athletes. Here are some important facts about FCA:

-Approximately 4,000 high school, middle school, and college young people are involved with FCA in southeast Tennessee

-In 2010 over 320 area students, coaches, and family members attended FCA summer camps.

-More than 350 area students have made a first-time commitment to Jesus Christ through FCA during the past year.

-Hundreds of area students and coaches have been involved in special FCA events and activities such as Leadership Training, Fields of Faith, and the FCA Leadership Breakfast.
