David Hudson was recently hired as the Small Business Specialist for the Cleveland State Small Business Development Center.
Mr. Hudson is a graduate of the University of Colorado where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and International Business and Tulane University where he received his Master of Business Administration.
Prior to accepting the position at CSCC, Hudson was operating partner for Primagro S.A., a vegetable processing and export enterprise, based out of Guatemala. “Since I was 20 years old, I’ve had my own businesses, and being in this position is the next best thing, maybe even better because I don’t have to worry about the financial responsibility.
”
“The Cleveland State Small Business Development Center is very fortunate to have David Hudson on board,” said SBDC Director Brenda Sheehy. “He comes with a wealth of both national and international experience and has owned several businesses both in the U.S. and abroad. In addition, he is fluent in Spanish so he will be able to reach out to our underserved Latino population.”
Mr. Hudson said, “I’m looking forward to meeting a lot of interesting people with a lot of interesting business ideas. I’m hoping to help people start, build, and grow their businesses because that is what we are all about; we’re here to help people.”
In his spare time, Mr. Hudson enjoys kayaking, traveling, fishing, and spending time with his wife, Marisol, and their two sons, Mitchell, 24, and William, 23.
