St. Jude School kicked off its annual school fundraiser, Innisbrook Sales, with a school assembly highlighted by spirited competitions between staff members using some of the fundraiser prizes.
Third grade teacher Jessica Gadd and kindergarten teacher Mandy Mroz sharpened their skills with "marshmallow shooters" while fifth grade teacher Meghann Nabor and middle school teacher Keith Leckenby demonstrated their talents with the hula hoop.
The fundraiser, sponsored by the Home and School Association, annually raises approximately $20,000 for the purchase of items on the faculty wish list. Sales are scheduled to end Sept. 8.
St. Jude School parents were welcomed to an open house on Aug. 23, where they had the opportunity to meet with school leaders, staff and all of their children's teachers.
Fourth grade parents had the opportunity to talk with Beverly Tiano who discussed the transition from elementary to intermediate grades.
Middle School teacher Cathy Czarnecki explained to parents how the game Sudoku can be used to enhance math skills.
