Local band submissions are being accepted now through Oct. 1 for the Battle of the Bands on Oct. 21 to benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
Bands in the Cleveland/Chattanooga area will support the fight against Alzheimer’s disease while competing for four days of professional studio recording time at First Street Studio in Cleveland. Members of the winning band will have the chance to work with producer Tyler Orr, who has produced albums for notable groups such as Rookie of the Year, As Cities Burn and Cory Chisel and the Wandering Sons. The recording time is a $5,000 value.
Demos must be submitted by Oct. 1 and must include:
• Three songs the band plans to perform at the competition.
• Typed lyrics for each song.
• A short band bio.
• A $20 band entrance fee.

The concert will be held on Oct. 21 at 7 p.m. at the Dixon Center on Lee University’s campus in Cleveland. It is sponsored by Life Care Centers of America, Lee University and Regenerate Music Co.
Community members of all ages are invited to attend the event. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 and will include a chance to win a grand prize. All proceeds will benefit the Alzheimer’s Association.
