Edith Kolwyck McCamish Minnick, 87, of Chattanooga, died on September 1, 2010 at a local health care center.

She was a lifelong resident of Chattanooga and was a member of Bayside Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother, 11 brothers and sisters.

She was a retired supervisor at Cutter Laboratory.

Surviving relatives are her husband, Carl G. Minnick, of Chattanooga, sons, Mickey (Carol) McCamish of Chattanooga, Dr. DeWayne (Marilyn) McCamish of Chattanooga, daughters, Elaine (Charlie) Roberson of Chattanooga, Carla Self and husband Joe Nadley of Anna, Tx., son, Barry L. (Dr. Shea) Minnick of Chattanooga, brother, Eugene (Ruth) Kolwyck of Chattanooga, sisters, Mrs. Julian (Betty) Johnson of Chattanooga, Mrs. Kenneth (Bobbie) Hudgins of Chattanooga, ten grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bob Stitts, Pastor Eric Stitts and Assistant Pastor Grady Cooper officiating.

The interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Her grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Hospice of Chattanooga or Bayside Baptist Church building fund.

The family will receive friends from 5-9 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, and 12-1 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 3, at Heritage Funeral Home, 7454 E. Brainerd Road.

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife
