Betsy Bird of Ooltewah was appointed publicity coordinator for the National Organization of Mothers of Twins Clubs, Inc. (NOMOTC) during the 50th annual national convention held in Toledo, Ohio.
This is Ms. Bird’s fourth year as a national volunteer. Previously, she has served as a district reporter and a feature writer for the Notebook, the award-winning quarterly magazine of NOMOTC.
Glenn and Betsy Bird are the parents of Tate and Aidan, age 5, and Riley, age 8. Ms. Bird is a member of the Chattanooga Area Mothers of Multiples Club (CAMOMC). She is also a founding member of the Tennessee Valley Mothers of Multiples Club (TVMOMs). Both CAMOMC and TVMOMs are local chapters of NOMOTC.
NOMOTC is a national support organization, founded in 1960, and comprised of local chapters and individual members primarily concerned with education and research pertaining to multiple birth children - twins, triplets and higher order multiples.
Headquartered in Franklin, Tn., NOMOTC serves over 26,000 members, with approximately 400 clubs in 44 states across the country.
Each year, NOMOTC hosts a national convention and conducts its’ annual business meeting. This year, the convention was held at the Park Inn in Toledo. The week of activities allows participants to attend a variety of keynote presentations and workshops, time to network with numerous other members from local and state chapters from across the United States, and to learn more about the non-profit national organization.
