Crime Stoppers: Burglary At Lockwood Auto Center

This week, Crime Stoppers along with the Chattanooga Police Department’s Property Crimes Division, are seeking information related to a burglary that occurred at a local business last month.

The incident occurred at Lockwood Auto Center located at 2317 Bragg St. sometime between Aug. 26 after 5:30 p.m. and Aug. 27 before 7:45 a.m. According to reports, the employees locked the door to the office and the bay door as they left work on the 26th. The doors were securely locked and everything was in order. When they returned to work on the 27th at around 7:45 a.m., the bay door was propped open with buckets and the office door had been kicked open.

Several items were taken from the business including a 20-gallon Englesoll Air Compressor, a red and black Solar Battery Cart, a silver .38 caliber revolver and the petty cash from the office.

Police are asking for anyone with information about this crime or the whereabouts of the stolen property to call Crime Stoppers. A confidential call could make the caller eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000.

Hamilton County Woman Charged With TennCare Drug Fraud
