Chattanooga Police were called to 2107 East 13th St. in the early morning hours on a shooting that sent three people to the hospital.
All three victims were transported to the hospital by Hamilton County EMS. Elias Perez, 19, received a gunshot wound to the right leg and left buttock area. Edwin Miranda, 22, was grazed by bullet in the abdomen. Eduardo Jimenez, 21, was shot in the chest. He was able to speak to investigators in the afternoon and said he was robbed of his wallet and cash. He is still in ICU, but his condition has improved.
All the victims are expected to recover from their injuries.
The incident occurred at approximately 2:35 a.m. in the alley behind the residence. According to the victims, they were in the alley talking when a black male approached them, pointed a gun at them and demanded money. When they told him they did not have any money, he began firing the gun at them. The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a young black male, medium height and slim build.
There is no further suspect information at this time.
