The Bright School has named Brooke Moore director of admissions.

Mrs. Moore is a 1992 graduate of the elementary school. She graduated from GPS in 1998 and Furman University with a B.A. in political science in 2002.

Her responsibilities at Bright School include coordination and management of all aspects of admissions and enrollment. She will assist families with the school’s admissions process.

“Bright School is delighted to welcome Brooke to our staff,” said O.J. Morgan, head of school. “Her experience and enthusiasm match perfectly with the mission and goals of Bright School. We are fortunate to have Brooke in place to direct our admissions efforts.”

Mrs. Moore’s experience includes previous independent school experience. She worked at Girls Preparatory School for five years in advancement and as the assistant director of admissions for four years.

“Returning to Bright School, my alma mater, is both exciting and sentimental,” said Mrs. Moore. “I have so many wonderful memories of being a student at Bright. It is an honor to be in this position. Having previously worked in admissions, it is one of my passions – taking a family through the process of finding the right school for their child is extremely rewarding and fun! I am thrilled to be a part of Bright School again.”

She is married to Andy Moore, and the two have one daughter.

Founded in 1913, Bright School is a coeducational, independent elementary school serving children in grades prekindergarten through five. The school is located on Hixson Pike in North Chattanooga. For more information, visit the school’s website at www.brightschool.com or call 267-8546.

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor - And Response (2)

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ...
