The Tennessee Board of Nursing has summarily suspended the license of Billy J. Games, RN of Jasper and Devon B. Norris, RN of Rossville, Ga.
Both were effective on Thursday.
As a result of the board’s actions, they are immediately prohibited from working as nurses.
Games’s license was suspended for the following:
failure to disclose conviction of a crime; and
threatening behavior.
They both have the opportunity to participate in an informal conference before the Board of Nursing in the Health Related Boards Conference Room at 227 French Landing Drive, Nashville. During the conference, the board will determine whether the public health, safety or welfare imperatively required emergency action and whether the nurse’s license should remain suspended pending the outcome of a contested case proceeding in the matter. The conference will be canceled if Games declines participation.
The hearing for Games is set for Tuesday at 2 p.m., CT, and for Norris is Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., CT.
Games was originally licensed as a registered nurse in Tennessee in 1990.
Norris’s nursing license was suspended for the following:
knowingly exchanging information, sexual dialogue and a nude picture of himself with two females he believed to be underage, and arranging an encounter with the females for sexual interaction; and
being arrested and charged with attempted statutory rape; attempted child molestation, and computer pornography/sexual exploitation of a child.
Norris first was licensed as a registered nurse in Tennessee in June 2010.
