Rebekah Romano, of Mineral Bluff, has been named an Aéropostale Real Teen.
Rebekah will star in the back to school campaign to be debuted in stores across the country this weekend and will receive a $5,000 college scholarship.
Rebekah was selected from a pool of nearly 6,000 teen applicants for demonstrating compassion for mankind. She spends her summers doing missionary work in Central and South America. She has spent countless hours working in soup kitchens, orphanages, and schools to help those less fortunate. She is also attending Lee University this fall to major in Spanish Education so she can provide children in less fortunate areas with a quality education.
To recognize and celebrate Rebekah, there will be an event Sunday at the Bradley Square Aéropostale in Cleveland from 12-2 p.m. Rebekah will be presented with a scholarship check.
