The East Ridge Express 94 Red boys team coached by Andy Wishart traveled to the Atlanta Cup Soccer Tournament over the Labor Day weekend. The Atlanta Cup is the largest three day youth soccer tournament in the USA.

The team played very well on Saturday by winning their first game against SCUFC from South Carolina by a score of 2-1. Later that day they tied their second game against a Georgia team, GSA Phoenix by a score of 1-1 in a hard fought and well played battle. They played as well against another Georgia team, AFC Lightning on Sunday morning and won 2-1 which put Express 94 into the semi-finals on Sunday afternoon.

In the semi-finals, Express 94 played fellow Tennessee Division 1 team, Tennessee United SC in a great game with Express winning 2-1. The team met the Atlanta Spurs in the championship game on Monday afternoon in Marietta.

Express 94 led 1-0 until the Spurs rallied in the final minutes of the match to pull off an upset beating Express 2-1 with a penalty shot. It was a fun and well played weekend for Express 94 Red boys. They now look forward to their Division 1 league games in October.

Express 94 Red Boys are very grateful to be sponsored by State Farm Insurance, Aaron Franklin agent and Marmon Highway Technologies.

We Are Blessed To Have Ron Littlefield As Our Mayor - And Response (3)

Chattanooga is blessed beyond measure to have Ron Littlefield as our mayor.  It is a total travesty our city has had to endure the long frivolous battle with absolutely  no foundation other than disagreement with policy issues.  It has always been a vendetta directed personally at Mayor Littlefield which, if the "interveners" decide to appeal, will be a proven fact.   ... There are two big nerves that sprout out of the ... (click for more)
