Hixson Falls To Lincoln County 7-2
The Lady Wildcats of Hixson fell to Lincoln County Tuesday night. Lincoln County led 3-0 at the half. The Hixson goals were scored by Bailey Payne and Elisabeth Adams.

East Ridge Tops Sweetwater 3-2
The East Ridge soccer team scored two second half goals after leading 1-0 at the half to beat Sweetwater 3-2. Kelby Fryar, Brooke Gann and Taylor Radcliffe scored goals for East Ridge.

Pope John Paul II Holds Off GPS

PJPII outshot GPS 13-5 and came away with a 1-0 win Tuesday. A first half shot was all it took to claim the win.

GPS' Simone Busby recorded nine saves in goal while PJPII had one save.

"Some days don't go as planned. I'm confident in our girls' ability to bounce back," said GPS Director of Soccer Programs, David Barrueta.

Next up for GPS is a home game vs. Notre Dame on Thursday; time to be announced.

The Bruisers are now 4-2-2.

Cleveland State Baseball Drops Doubleheader

Man Tells Police He Just Murdered His Wife

An Chattanooga man told police Monday night that he had just murdered his wife.  Police said Robert Lee Hardnett, 50. showed up at the County Jail to turn himself in at 8:40 p.m. He said his wife's body could be found at his place of employment, Power Supply Company, 1907 Daisy St.   Officers responded to that address and found the body of 34-year-old Elizabeth ... Red Bank Commissioners Choose Kenneth Welch To Replace Greg Jones; Jeno Won't Run Again

The four remaining members of the Red Bank Commission held a special called meeting on Tuesday and chose Kenneth Welch as the replacement for Vice Mayor Greg Jones, who moved to Alaska. Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

I would like to thank Judge Mattice for handing down a 30.5 year sentence for Kathleen Mathews.  Obviously, no amount of jail time, fines, or lashings can bring back Tim Chapin.   A 30-year sentence will, however, make the world just a little safer.  That's what Sgt.
