St. Francis Offers Day Blessing Of Animals

St. Francis Day Blessing of the Animals will be Sunday, Oct. 3, from 1:30-4 p.m.

Admission is free, and all faiths are welcome.

St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church is located at 7555 Ooltewah-Georgetown Road, Ooltewah, Tn. 37363.

-Petting Zoo (including lambs, sheep, baby goats, chicks, ducks, bunnies and pigs)
-Parade of animals (2 p.m.)
-Blessing of the animals (2:30 p.m.)
-Free pet portraits and free pet medals for your animals
-Exhibits including: Hamilton County Humane Society Mobile Adoption Unit, McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center and The Chattanooga Zoo
-Free pony rides
-Release of doves
-Animal day care and boarding exhibits
-Blessing of animals that have passed away or are unable to attend

Brainerd Baptist Hosts Parents' Night Out Feb. 17

Prosecutors Asking Maximum Sentence For "Evil" Mother Of Jesse Mathews

Prosecutors are asking that the mother of the man charged with killing Chattanooga Police Sgt. Mark Phillips Was Victim In Fatal Hixson Pike Wreck

Mark Phillips, 54, was the victim in a fatal Hixson Pike wreck on Saturday afternoon. Police said the driver of the Ford F150 that went out of control and struck the Phillips vehicle was 68-year-old Warren Elliott.
