The Jewish Federation will host a dinner followed by a panel discussion about forgiveness featuring three local religious leaders. The dinner will be held Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Jewish Cultural Center. The cost for dinner is $9 per person.
Panel members—Rabbi David Cantor of B’nai Zion Congregation, Rev. Eric Johnson of the First Church of the Nazarene and Rev. Jeff Briere of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Chattanooga—will talk about forgiveness from their religious perspectives. A limited question and answer period will follow the panel discussion.
“The Jewish Cultural Center is a safe, respectful environment in which we encourage open dialogue,” said Ann Treadwell, program director. “We are living in a period where individuals find it hard to forgive each other for daily actions, and even harder to forgive people for global actions. The dinner is a way to get people thinking about forgiveness.”
