Wednesday, September 08, 2010

The American Business Women’s Association is hosting the 2010 ABWA National Women’s Leadership Conference, Oct. 28-30, in Chattanooga.

Each ABWA conference is designed as a concentrated, highly effective means of connecting members with the knowledge and opportunities they need to achieve, officials said.

ABWA was founded in 1949, has over 15,000 members, with 500+ local groups in 45 states.

The conference, to be held at the Chattanooga Convention Center, will feature a lineup of learning events, including programs and seminars that focus on today’s leading business topics from strategy to marketing and planning. The association has a partnership with the University of Kansas, School of Business and FranklinCovey. This year, the professorial staff from KU will present master’s level courseware.

The topics encompass areas of business such as strategic marketing, strategic planning and leadership for strategic change. Trainers from FranklinCovey will present seminars on Championing Diversity and Microsoft Outlook. Locally, Adera Causey, curator of Education at the Hunter Museum, will teach a course on Design Thinking in Leadership.

In addition to the conference, members from across the country will have time to visit the ABWA Expo Center in the Convention Center; an exhibit hall with 50 exhibitors, a Purse-Anality booth and the Women’s Instructional Network Café. Exhibit space is available to businesses that want to reach this market. From boutique clothing, gifts for family, home and holiday décor, skin care, jewelry to businesses and services for the home, local and regional businesses wanting to reach this national market in an intimate setting over three days are encouraged to exhibit.

For information on exhibiting in the ABWA Expo Center, contact Cynthia Bell, ABWA Business Development manager, 816 361-6621 x 258, or email cbell@abwa.org.

Thank You, Judge Mattice And Chattanooga

Chapin would have wanted.  He was a protector and sacrificed his life so the rest of ... (click for more)
