This week Crime Stoppers and the major crimes division of the Chattanooga Police Department are seeking clues in a murder that occurred earlier this summer.
The incident occurred on July 2 at approximately 12:44 a.m. at the home of the victim located at 3838 Juandale Trail.
According to the only witness of the incident, he and his cousin, Antonio Taylor, had arrived at the residence at 11:30 p.m. They watched television and the witness eventually fell asleep on the couch. He said he woke up to the sound of a gunshot. He found his cousin, Taylor, lying in the floor with a gunshot wound to the head.
Police arrived, called for EMS and secured the scene for investigators. Evidence was found that showed the suspect had been in the garage and shot Taylor through the entry door which leads from the garage into the house. Taylor was pronounced dead later that day.
The only witness did not see the suspect, but only heard the gunshot.
