A School Resource Officer was shoved through an office window when he tried to break up a student fight at Brainerd High School on Thursday morning.
An assistant principal and a teacher who tried to intervene were hit during the altercation.
The sheriff's office said a verbal altercation between two male students escalated into a physical confrontation that ended with both being charged by law enforcement.
One student was charged with two counts of assault and disorderly conduct as the two school officials were hit.
Deputy Marty Ray (SRO) sustained minor injuries when he tried to intervene with the other involved party that resulted with them both going through a glass window.
Both students were transported to the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Center.
School officials said the window broke, but the officer suffered only abrasions and did not require medical treatment.
Backup officers were sent to the school after the incident.
School officials said the incident was exacerbated when a sister of one of the fighters waded into the fray. The school SRO then began to try to intervene. That is when he went through the window.
