4 People Killed In Wreck In Jasper

Four people were killed Sunday when a car went out of control on Highway 27 in Jasper.

The Tennessee Highway Patrol said Terry Alder, Sr., 42, was driving his Ford Mustang northbound when he lost control just after midnight.

The vehicle went on the right side of the road, then he overcorrected and went off the opposite side of the highway.

The vehicle flipped numerous times, sending the driver and three passengers out of the car.

Also killed were Terry Alder, Jr., 21, Barry Wilson, 48, and Victor Poe, 48.



Hammonds Gets 34 Months In Federal Prison After Cocaine Found In His Freezer

Michael Hammonds has been sentenced to serve 34 months in federal prison after Chattanooga Police found cocaine in his freezer. Hammonds appeared before Judge Sandy Mattice. Police on Nov. 15, 2012, located two large bags of cocaine in the freezer. Under the burner of a nearby stove, they also found $1,100 cash and a revolver with five live rounds. (click for more)

Man Who Had Assault Rifle At Cleveland Motel Gets 57 Months In Federal Prison

A man who was found with an assault rifle at a Cleveland, Tn., motel has been sentenced to serve 57 months in federal prison. Terrence Rucker appeared before Judge Sandy Mattice. Police said they found Rucker at the Baymont Inn on Paul Huff Parkway with Megan Smith. The door was first slammed shut on officers, who smelled an odor of marijuana.
