Brian Edward Harper, 42, of Cleveland, Tn., died Tuesday, November 1, 2011 in a local hospital.

He attended North Cleveland Church of God where he volunteered with the children's ministry with Keith McManus. He was employed with Whirlpool for twenty four years. He enjoyed being a Boy Scout as a child and was also involved in karate. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. He was a vegetarian and enjoyed growing his own vegetables. Brian enjoyed helping his friends repairing their boats or anything they needed. He was always there to give a special hug and always told his family that he loved them and that everything would be ok. He loved to comfort people and reading his Bible every day brought him much pleasure. He had a very loving genuine personality.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Ruth Duckett and Hewlet and Nellie Harper.

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Harper of Cleveland; parents, Larry Harper and Brenda Harper both of Cleveland; son, Trevor Harper of Cleveland; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Roy and Donna Sue Yarber of Cleveland; brother-in-law, Chris Yarber of Cleveland; one nephew, Christopher Lee Yarber of Cleveland; and several aunts and uncles.

Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Saturday, November 5, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Luther Eslinger and Pastor Josh Brown officiating. Interment will follow in Flint Springs Cemetery with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

His family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Friday, November 4, at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
