Led by the Summer Lanter (Soddy Daisy, Jr., offensive player of the year) and Paige Elliott (Baylor, Sr. defensive player of the year), The Chattanoogan.com announces its 2011 Chattanooga area Girls’ Soccer All-Star team.

Lanter and Elliott are two members of the Super Team (first team) which is comprised of players from Baylor (4), Chattanooga Christian (2), Girls Preparatory School (2), Notre Dame (1) and Soddy Daisy (2).

There are also second team and honorable mention selections.

Lanter had 32 goals and led the Trojans to region and sectional titles two straight years and a state quarterfinal win in 2011.

Elliott was a force on defense for Baylor who won its second straight state title and finished third in the nation in the ESPN poll and No.11 according to NSCAA.

Baylor head coach Jimmy Weekley is the coach of the year, while D-II state champion and nationally-ranked Baylor is the team of the year.

Joining Lanter and Elliott on the Super Team are Teni Butler, McKenzie Thomas and Peyton Thomas (all from Baylor), Allie Sullivan and Natalie Thedford from Chattanooga Christian, Simone Busby and Mary Woodruff Griffin from GPS, Ashley Henry (Notre Dame) and Hannah Wyatt (Soddy Daisy).
