Robert L. Odum, 56, of Chattanooga, died on Saturday, March 5, 2011.

He was previously employed at Mueller Company.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Geneva Odum and two sisters, Mamie and Juanita Odum.

He is survived by his daughter, Leondra “Candy” (Jeffery) Knight of Lexington, Ky.; three grandchildren, Jasmyn, Dominique and Maliyah Smith of Lexington, Kentucky; one sister, Ruby (Lee) Mosley Jr., and one brother, Thomas Odum; aunt, Ruth Odum of Chattanooga; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Graveside services will he held on Friday, March 11, at 1 p.m. at Highland Memorial Gardens with Rev. William Clark officiating.

The body will lie in state after noon on Thursday, March 10, with the family receiving friends from 6–7 p.m. at John P. Franklin Funeral Home, 1101 Dodds Avenue, 622-9995.

Couple Arrested After 3-Year-Old Boy Brought To Hospital With Serious Injuries

A woman and her boyfriend have been arrested after her three-year-old son was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police said the child had a broken left arm, fractured ribs, a lacerated kidney and a skull fracture with bleeding on the brain.
