Signal Mountain Genealogical Society Meets Feb. 7

The Signal Mountain Genealogical Society will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, Feb. 7, at the Walden Town Hall. Refreshments will be served at 1 p.m. and the meeting will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Marilyn Garner, a society member and Signal Mountain resident, will present a program entitled, “Early 20th century Signal Mountain stories from the Sequatchie County Newspaper.”

As always, guests are most welcome at the meeting.


Slack - Melton Reunion June 3

The Slack - Melton reunion will be held at a new location on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at 1:00pm at Englewood Community Center, 105 Carroll St, Englewood, TN 37329.  Please bring covered dishes to share. Man Who Survived By "Playing Dead" Points To Talley, Grace As Robbers Involved In Shooting Of Him And Rapper Brikk

The California agent for a promising Chattanooga rapper on Tuesday afternoon identified Dexter Talley and Alonzo Grace as two of five men who burst into a Highway 58 area duplex and robbed and then shot him and Robert "Brikk" Brown.
