Friday the 13th was a great day for Kateshia Schneider Story, Lakeesha Featherstone and Keyra Polk. The three women's tickets were pulled in a lottery drawing for those who applied for housing in Chattanooga Housing Authority's Fairmount Avenue Townhomes and Maple Hills Apartments.
A total of 150 tickets were drawn. A list of all the ticket numbers will be posted on CHA's website, www.chahousing.org, and on bulletin boards at all CHA offices. Applicants may also call 752-4185 to learn if their ticket number was pulled.
Fairmount is an 18-unit complex being built in North Chattanooga while Maple Hills, located in East Chattanooga, will have 48 units. Both affordable housing developments will be LEED-certified, and feature two- and three-bedroom townhome-style units.
Fairmount is scheduled to open between March and May while Maple Hills is expected to open between September and November. CHA officials will now begin the formal application and eligibility screening process for Fairmount and then for Maple Hills later in the year.
