Liberty Tax Service Holds Grand Opening In Collegedale

Liberty Tax Service is opening a new office in Collegedale.

The new Liberty Tax is located at 9408 Apison Pike, Suite 154 (next to Tractor Supply) and is open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. (or til last client leaves) during tax season.

There will be a grand opening on Sunday at the new office. Tax professionals will provide free tax advice, and Lady Liberty will serve pizza and other snacks. Peaches the Clown will be visiting at 4 p.m. doing tricks for the kids.

The office is owned and operated by Wendi Tourigny, from Cleveland, Tn. She is "a single mom who has had some hard knocks, but continues to move forward and is wanting to offer help to others that might suffer financially."

“We are excited to be expanding Liberty’s operations in Collegedale,” said John Hewitt, CEO and founder of Liberty Tax Service. “We pledge quality computerized tax preparation and superb customer service to the people of Collegedale and Ooltewah.”

The new Liberty Tax Service office will employ 19 tax preparers, marketers and other office staff for the tax season.

Moody's Lowers Erlanger's Bond Rating From A3 To Baa1

Moody's Investors Service has downgraded to Baa1 from A3 the rating assigned to Erlanger Health System's $172 million of outstanding bonds issued by the Chattanooga-Hamilton County Hospital Authority.
