Police said Sean and Tamara Vanleuven were arrested after a neighbor on Holly Street saw them breaking into a home and recognized them.

The Vanleuvens, who live on Anderson Avenue, were charged with aggravated burglary and theft of property.

Police were dispatched to the Holly Street burglary on Wednesday. Joe Prather said he came home and found that someone had forced entry into the house. The front door had pry marks on it.

The house was ransacked with furniture turned over. Items missing included a 46" TV, two bicycles and a barbecue grill. The grill had been chained to the porch.

One neighbor said he heard loud noises and saw the burglary going on. He said a white Dodge Ram was parked in front of the residence. He said he saw both suspects loading the stolen items into the truck. He said the couple lives across the street from him.

Another witness said he confronted Scott Vanleuven as he was loading the barbecue grill. He said Vanleuven was drunk and very hostile and prevented him from getting any of the items back.

Police said Tamara Vanleuven told police they took the stolen items to a scrap yard.

Sean Vanleuven was found hiding at a neighbor's house. He declined to talk to police.
