City Moving Forward With Northshore Greenway Plans

Friday, January 27, 2012

The City Council is due to consider a resolution to move forward on the Moccasin Bend Gateway Plan.

The resolution would extend the professional services agreement with Jones & Jones Architects and Landscape Architects, Ltd. to develop schematic designs for the proposed Manufacturers Park and a feasibility study for a bicycle/pedestrian path along the U.S. 27 corridor between Manufacturer’s Road and Dayton Boulevard.

The city would be accepting a grant from the Lyndhurst Foundation in the amount $105,000 for the project.

Jones & Jones is a Seattle firm that drew up plans for extending the Riverwalk from Renaissance Park to Moccasin Bend.

It includes a park at the reworked cloverleaf at Manufacturers Road and U.S. 27 as well as greenway trails to the new park on Stringer's Ridge.
