Chattanooga Breakfast Rotary Club Has I Smell Smoke Fundraiser Nov. 17

The Chattanooga Breakfast Rotary Club presents its third “I Smell Smoke” fundraiser on Nov. 17.  

Club members will smoke over 300 Boston Butts in the parking lot of Rivermont Presbyterian Church (3319 Hixson Pike) overnight on Nov. 16 with distribution on Nov. 17 between 8–10:30 a.m. 

The smoked butts are $30 each.  Pre-orders are required and must be completed or turned in no later than Nov. 9.  The online order (or a hard copy of the form may be downloaded) form is available at www.rotaryofchattanoogabreakfast.com and can be mailed to: Chattanooga Breakfast Rotary Club, Attn:  I Smell Smoke, PO Box 4065, Chattanooga, TN  37405.

Credit cards orders are also available via the website; however, a $1 surcharge fee will be applied. The receipt from the credit card order is the voucher for pickup on Nov. 17.

CARTA Announces Memorial Day Schedule

In observance of Memorial Day, CARTA’s fixed route and Downtown Shuttle buses will operate on Saturday schedules on Monday. The CARTA Care-a-van will also be operating on a holiday schedule. 3 Charged In Raleigh With Murder Of Former Cleveland, Tn., Woman

Three people have been charged in Raleigh, N.C., with the murder last week of a 30-year-old woman, who had just moved from Cleveland, Tn.
