Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Chattanooga invites the Chattanooga and surrounding area community to participate in its third annual Bowl-A-Rama fundraiser. Taking place on three separate days, Bowl-A-Rama is set for Saturday, from 2–5 p.m. at Holiday Bowl for competitive league bowling as well as Wednesday and Thursday, from 6-9 p.m. at Pin Strikes Bowling Alley for friends and family teams.
The Bowl-A-Rama event, sponsored in part by Ameriprise Financial, Physicians Care and Maxim Pediatric Services among others, will benefit families of seriously ill and injured children receiving care at nearby Chattanooga hospitals.
The cost of participation is $25 per bowler per event, which includes shoe rental and three games of bowling. Participants are encouraged to register in teams of four to five bowlers or as individuals to be placed with a team. Registration is available online at no cost via www.rmhchattanooga.com.
The Bowl-A-Rama event began in 2008 as a third-party fundraiser sponsored by Chattanooga Friends, but has since evolved into one of the nine annual events directly coordinated by the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chattanooga (RMHC).
“This is our third year hosting Bowl-A-Rama and every year we’ve not only managed to exceed our fundraising goals, but we have also been fortunate enough to increase our community participation as well,” said Tiffany Cobb, director of Development for RMHC. “While this is still a young event, we think it has a lot of potential to continue to grow. It’s the type of fundraiser that provides opportunities, not only for community members to get involved in a really fun and affordable way, but also for businesses and organizations to promote team building and health incentives for their employees while supporting a great cause.”
