Police said they were told by some victims of a rash of flat tires they believe that a specific tire store is responsible in order to drum up business.
Joseph Stevens told an officer he found the passenger side tires flat on his 2001 Jeep Cherokee. He said he has an acquaintance who works at the tire store who "claimed the business is responsible for damaged tires throughout the city as they maliciously place nails and other debris on the road to increase their customer intake."
He said he "could not prove" the charge at this time.

Cedric Chubb, who had his passenger side tires flattened on his 2010 Toyota Avalon, said his were punctured while driving on Dodds Avenue.
He said he believes the same tire store as mentioned by Mr. Stevens "is responsible for all the damaged tires in the city."

A resident of E. 40th Street reported four tires flat on his two vehicles.

Paul Mikesell said by the time he arrived at work at Parkridge Hospital he found he had three flat tires on his 1990 Geo Storm. He had traveled along Dodds Avenue.

He afterward had two flat passenger side tires on his 2007 Honda.

Julia Strickland of Dodson Avenue found that her rear door at her residence had been pried open.
A 32" TV was taken. The burglar tried to get a 52" TV off a living room wall, but it got tangled in the cords and was left halfway hanging on the wall.

Michelle Moore of Olive Street found her back door kicked in and her residence ransacked.
All the drawers on her dresser were pulled out and the closet was in disarray.
Taken were a 42" TV and $50 in coins.

Derrick Kelly of Taylor Street was also a burglary victim.
A door was kicked in and a Vizio TV stolen.

Royall Taylor Of Essex Lane said an intruder got in her residence through an unlocked bathroom window.
Missing is a 55" TV.

An officer was in the vicinity of "Da Building" at 1622 Dodds Ave. when he heard gunfire.
He was told that "Big Coop" of the Kemp Drive Posse was shooting at a Crips gang member.
The officer found four shell casings at the scene.
