World-renowned billiards champion and trick-shot expert, Mike Massey will be performing an exhibition on Thursday, at CBC Cleveland.
Mr, Massey, known as the “Tennessee Tarzan”, has won 23 major pool championships, including eight ESPN World Championship Trick Shot events.
“We are so excited to have Mike back with us at CBC,” said Phil Windham, CBC owner. “Mike’s as nice a guy as you’d ever want to meet, and you’ll never meet a better pool player. He’s the best there is. A real hometown hero.”
A former Chattanooga firefighter, Mr, Massey has played pool in 40 countries, and been featured in five major Hollywood films including “The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia” starring Dennis Quaid and “Baron”, starring Johnny Cash.
Inducted into the Billiard Hall of Fame in 2005, Mr, Massey’s signature shot is the “Boot Shot” where he shoots a ball from the side pocket of the table, 12 feet through the air and into a cowboy boot on the floor.
Mr, Massey has just returned from the Philippines, where he has been on a missions trip with a Christian organization that he co-founded, Gospeltrickshots.org.
“I’m excited to be back in town,” said Mr. Massey. “Billiards is a game that brings people together. I enjoy spending time with people in Cleveland, and know everyone is going to have a great time!”
The event starts at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
