Dalton Police And Fire Departments To Meet Public Before DHS-NWHS Game Friday

The Dalton High Catamounts will renew their rivalry with the Northwest Whitfield High Bruins on Friday night at Harmon Field.  Before the game, fans and members of the public will get a chance to meet some of the public safety personnel who serve them.  The Dalton Police Department and Dalton Fire Department will be on hand before Friday night’s game to meet with the public and show off cars and equipment.

Police cars, fire trucks, and ambulances will be parked on the practice field next to the Harmon Field locker rooms starting at 5:30 p.

m. and will be there until kickoff time for the game.  The Dalton Police Department and Dalton Fire Department will send representatives, and several other agencies have been invited but have not yet confirmed that they’ll be able to participate.  Officials will have safety information to hand out to visitors, and kids can get an up-close look at their vehicles before the game kicks off.

Ladies’ Leisure Ride Is Sunday

The Ladies’ Leisure Ride is a slow-paced cruise through downtown Chattanooga, just for the ladies. Bullet Comes Into Walker Road House During "Gun Battle"; Shots Fired Near Majestic Theatre

Police said a man and wife were listening to the disquieting sounds of a "gun battle" on Walker Road when one of the shots entered their home. It went through the front right side of the house, traveling through the siding and blowing out some sheetrock. The bullet passed through an open front entry door.
