Independent Healthcare Properties, LLC has appointed Matthew Fox as divisional vice president of operations for its Morning Pointe Assisted Living and The Lantern Alzheimer’s Memory Care communities. Mr. Fox has 15 years of experience in the senior living industry and joins the company from Alexian Village of Tennessee, where he served as president and chief executive. 

“We are pleased to have Matt join our team to work with Morning Pointe’s regional vice presidents and executive directors in overseeing our existing operations,” says Greg A. Vital, president and CEO, and Franklin Farrow, chief operating officer, in a joint announcement for IHP and Morning Pointe. “Morning Pointe’s growth over the past 16 years and continued expansion through new development projects led to the creation of this new position and allows Suzanne Foster, who has been with us since 2007, to focus her expertise on our start-up operations as senior vice president of business development.”

During Mr. Fox’s tenure at Alexian Village of Tennessee, he strengthened the Chattanooga operations and led a capital improvement planning process that included a $30-million campus plan. Prior to his work with Alexian, he served as regional vice president of operations for Brookdale Senior Living in Austin, Texas.

Mr. Fox has a BA and an MBA in business management from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, La. He is also a licensed nursing home administrator in the state of Tennessee.
