Lady Mocs Tennis Team On Road At Duckworth Fall Classic

The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women's tennis team heads to Clemson, S.C., for tournament action this weekend. The Lady Mocs will compete in the second annual Duckworth Fall Classic.

Action takes place at the Hoke Sloan Tennis Center from Oct. 12-14. A total of 18 women's teams will compete in 12 singles flight and six doubles brackets. Teams in action include Clemson, Chattanooga, Armstrong Atlantic, Augusta State, Brenau, Charleston Southern, Citadel, Clayton State, Emory, Furman, Lipscomb, Kennesaw State, Mercer, USC Upstate, South Alabama, Tennessee, Troy, VCU and Wofford.

All nine Lady Mocs will compete in singles this weekend, with four doubles teams also taking the court. SophomoreKaylene Chadwell (Franklin, Tenn.) will team with freshman Kelsey Coots (Huntsville, Ala.) while senior Jenna Nurik (Roswell, Ga.) will join up with sophomore Claire Mulyadi (Semarang, Indonesia). Junior Alexa Flynn (Memphis, Tenn.) and freshman Alison Storie (Johnson City, Tenn.) and freshmen Kayla Jones (Memphis, Tenn.) and Katie Polk (Woodstock, Ga.) are the other two tandems.

This is UTC's third tournament of the fall. The Lady Mocs are coming off a strong finish at the UTC Steve Baras Fall Classic two weeks ago.
