The Bryan College baseball held their 2012 Fall World Series Draft last night. With the first overall pick, the White Team, captained by seniors

On a night filled with fun and laughter, the Red Team, captained by seniors Charles Corn, Kevin Layne and Andrew Smith, made draft history when they picked two freshmen with their first two picks in Cody Rhinehart and Blake Johnson. They quickly followed their 2nd-round pick with senior Joey Vega, the first pitcher taken in the 2012 FWS Draft.

Following the draft there was some good natured ribbing as the teams play a three game series for the right to eat steak at the 3rd annual Steak & Beans dinner. The winners of the Fall World Series will eat a steak dinner while the losers will have to serve the dinner and be left with beans to eat for dinner.

The 2012 FWS starts on Saturday at 7 p.m. The Red Team will be the home team on Saturday night. The White Team will start John Cain on the mound while the Red team has yet to announce their Game 1 starter. All FWS games will be broadcast on www.bryanlions.com.

Roy Exum: Please Send Me Funny Jokes

It has been about 25 years or so since I had the opportunity to visit every county in the state of Tennessee and, as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society at the time, I met cancer survivors and listened to their incredible stories.
