Here is the Chattanooga State Fine Arts Calendar:
The Chattanooga State Music Department will present the David Walter's Jazz Trio in concert Oct. 20 at 7:30 p.m. featuring jazz standards played by David Walters on piano, Gordy Nichol on bass and Jo Whitaker on drums. The concert is free and open to the public.
The Chattanooga State Concert Choir presents a masterworks concert featuring Eric Whitacre's Five Hebrew Songs on Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. The concert also features clarinetist, Nick Harline, playing Gerald Finzi's Clarinet Concerto, Op. 31, as well as performances by Jennifer Arbogast, mezzo-soprano; Amanda Hyberger, soprano, and Christine Hassevoort, soprano. Members of the Chattanooga Symphony will also be on hand for an exciting collaboration featuring music of the 20th century.The concert is free and open to the public.
The Chattanooga State Music Department presents a vocal concert featuring guest artists sopranos Beth DuRoy and Melissa Larkin Schultz, and pianist Jason DuRoy in duo recital entitled, A Woman's Life: A Journey in Song on Oct. 27 at 7:30 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public.
