The Region 3, District 5-AAA girls soccer semifinals will be played Tuesday at Soddy Daisy and McMinn County with both matches scheduled for 7 p.m.

Tues. Oct. 16 - Region 3 - Dist. 5 AAA Semis  (7 p.m.)

#5 Cleveland at #1 Soddy Daisy

#3 Ooltewah at #2 McMinn County

Thurs Oct. 18 - District 5 AAA Final

Morris Wins Signal Mountain Invitational

Adam Morris shot  69 on Sunday and won the championship of the annual Signal Mountain Invitational at the Signal Mountain Golf and Country Club. Morris, the only golfer in the field to shoot in the 60s in all three rounds, finished at 203 (69-65-69). Mikey Feher finished second at 205. Randy Yoder won the Senior Flight at 212 (74-72-66). Female Killed By Falling Tree Near Hunter Road

A female was killed by a falling tree in Ooltewah late Monday morning. At about 11 a.m., Hamilton County Sheriff deputies were dispatched to the 7300 block of Landlock Drive near Micasa Lane.
