Eileen Meagher To Speak At CHEO Meeting Sunday

Monday, October 15, 2012

CHEO Members are invited to come to the monthly CHEO meeting and participate in elections of 2013-2014 new Board Members, any changes in the by-law and honoring of 10 years of past and present. This will take place this Sunday from 2-4 p.m. and will include a free meal.

Eileen Meagher, PhD, Instructor will present the topic "Spring Forest Qi Gong", based on the simple yet profound understanding that everything in the universe is energy. As Albert Einstein recognized, energy can neither be created nor be destroyed, but it can be transformed. In China, the study and practice of transforming the energy (qi) to live a life of optimum health, wellness, and happiness came to be called Qigong. For thousands of years the practice of Qigong was a closely-guarded secret revealed only to a chosen few. After years of dedicated study with some of the finest Qigong masters in his native China, Spring Forest Qigong Founder, Master Chunyi Lin, created a technique that is so simple that anyone can learn it, yet it is very, very powerful. A certified, international Qigong master, Chunyi Lin broke from ancient traditions because of his strong conviction that "Qigong is such a powerful tool for healing, the whole world needs to know about it and benefit from it." Indeed, Qigong has been called the most powerful healing technique the world has ever known.

Eileen Meagher, PhD, has studied Spring Forest Qigong since the fall of 2003, taking all the currently offered course work and is qualified to be designated a Certified Instructor and Master Healer. To date, she has worked individually on approximately 750 people. She teaches Level I and II of Spring Forest Qigong twice a year, and she is available for individual healing sessions. Eileen will give an overview of Spring Forest Qigong, its philosophy, creation, and history, and then she will have the group do a couple of exercises to feel for themselves the power of directed thoughts/emotion on a problem area in themselves, in another person, or in an animal; and she will teach attendees how to do "sword fingers" on a problem to clear it. Spring Forest Qigong is a revolutionary approach to the ancient Chinese teachings, revised and enhanced for the 21st century.

The event will take place in the Community Conference Room at the Eastgate Town Center. For more info contact Donna McMillan, dmreiki@yahoo.com or 629-1935.
