Habitat for Humanity of Greater Chattanooga Area is hosting a Halloween LEGO Build Competition on Oct. 28 from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Chattanooga Market.
Contestants have only 30 minutes to build a Halloween themed creation out of LEGOs. The LEGO creations will be judged on creativity alone. There are no limits to how tall, wide or crazy the creation can be. After the 30 minutes are over, a picture of the masterpiece will be taken and a winner will be announced at the end of the day. The grand prize will be a giant LEGO set with runner up prizes as well. The creations will be dismantled for others to use those LEGO. The contestants do not need to be present at this time to win their prize.
It costs $5 to be a part of this event. The builders can pay another $5 for another 30 minutes, but they must start a new LEGO creation. The competition is open to everyone, all ages.
The purpose of this event is to promote HFHGCA’s efforts to build decent, affordable housing for those who would be otherwise unable to experience the physical and spiritual benefits of homeownership. The proceeds from this event will go towards HFHGCA’s home building fund.
