Members of the GPS Student Council, Girl Scout troop, and GPS Ambassadors spent Saturday afternoon at the Chattanooga Zoo’s annual Banana Ball. GPS was a sponsor of the annual fundraiser.

Volunteering at the afternoon Banana Split party to support the Zoo's 75th year, the girls served banana splits to 100 children. They also had the opportunity to meet renowned animal expert and zookeeper Jack Hanna.

The first ever Banana Split event was a chance for children ages three to 12 to meet Hanna and his special animal friends in the education building.

Opportunities were also provided to purchase Jack Hanna’s autographed children's book, Passport into the Wild. Banana split sundaes were the cherry on top of a fun, new event.
