Choices Pregnancy Resource Center’s Executive Director Patricia Lindley Wins Nehemiah Award At National Conference

Tuesday, October 16, 2012

Choices Pregnancy Resource Center is pleased to announce that the center’s Executive Director Patricia Lindley, received Care Net’s Nehemiah award at their awards banquet on Friday, Oct. 12, in Nashville’s Gaylord Opryland’s Presidential Ballroom. Care Net is an umbrella organization for Choices PRC and more than 1200 other pregnancy centers across the nation.

Officials said, "The Nehemiah Award recognizes an individual who has provided vision for a local center, and Ms. Lindley has indeed done this. She has tirelessly advocated for the pre-born and their mothers since the 1970s. During her tenure at Choices PRC, she served on the board of directors prior to filling the role of executive director in 2001."

Today, Choices PRC serves more than 2,500 women each year who are facing unplanned pregnancies. The center offers free pregnancy tests, ultrasounds and material assistance as well as childbirth classes and parenting education. "Only in eternity will we know the numbers of lives that have been saved because of Ms. Lindley’s work," it was stated.

According to Choices PRC Chairman, Doug Daugherty, “We are thrilled for Pat to receive this recognition. She is truly a remarkable woman who has gone above and beyond the call of duty on behalf of the pre-born and women for years. She is one of the most articulate spokespersons a social service organization could have and has been an inspiring leader to more than one generation of those she has mentored.”
