Chattanooga State's Nursing And Allied Health Division Presents Series Of Information Sessions

The Division of Nursing and Allied Health at Chattanooga State Community College will present a series of information sessions during the month of November for students interested in pursuing a career in the healthcare field. Topics of discussion will include the application process, admission requirements, selection process, program overview, curriculum details, licensing and credentialing examinations, career opportunities, and more. All of the information sessions will be held in the Health Science Center (HSC) on the main campus.

The times listed for information sessions below are eastern standard.

The dental hygiene program requires a reservation for its information session scheduled on November 1 at 5 p.m. Anyone interested in attending can RSVP by emailing michelle.mould@chattanpgastate.edu. The session will be on the second floor in HSC room 2031. Attendance is strongly encouraged, but not required. The dental hygiene program’s application deadline is Feb. 4, 2013.

Students interested in pursuing a career in nursing are also strongly encouraged, but not required to attend one of the two information sessions offered on Nov. 6 at 9 a.m. or 5 p.m. Both sessions will be in HSC room 1083 on the first floor. The application deadline for the RN program is March 15, 2013. The application deadline for the transition program is Jan. 15, 2013.

On November 7 at 3 p.m., the physical therapist assistant program’s information session is scheduled in HSC room 2029 on the second floor. While reservations are not required, attendance is strongly encouraged. The program’s application deadline is March 4, 2013.

Reservations are required for the dental assisting information session scheduled for Nov. 8 at 5:30 p.m. in HSC room 2028. Attendance is required for students interested in this program of study.  To confirm attendance, RSVP by emailing karen.castleberry@chattanoogastate.edu. The application deadline for this technical certificate program is June 15, 2013.

The respiratory care program strongly encourages, but does not require attendance at its information session scheduled for noon on Nov. 14 in HSC room 2117. A reservation is not required. The deadline to apply for the respiratory care program is May 15, 2013.

An additional information session on Nov. 14 is scheduled for the health information management program in HSC room 2106 at 1 p.m. Again, a reservation is not required, but attendance is strongly encouraged. Students interested in pursing this career path must apply by April 1, 2013.

On November 15, the radiologic technology program information session starts at 5:30 p.m. This two and a half hour session will be in HSC room 2060. While reservations are not required, attendance is strongly encouraged. The application deadline for the radiologic technology program is April 15, 2013.

City Council Ad Hoc Committee To Study Moving Elections To August, Adding More Districts, Staggering Terms
