Signal Centers’ Assistive Technology (AT) Center, 2300 Bailey Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37404, will be hosting an iPad Boot Camp training on Tuesday, Oct. 30, from 1–3 p.m. The hands-on, comprehensive training targets community members 18 years and older at a cost of $90/per person.
“Many people using iPads realize they’re simply scratching the surface of what this device can do, yet they’re unsure how to go about learning more,” said Sarah Mak, director of the AT Center. “Our iPad Training Boot Camp unlocks the extensive potential of this exciting device.”
Topics covered include basic and intermediate navigation features, favorite apps and games, setting up e-mail, iTunes and calendars, and using the camera. “A favorite is making video calls using FaceTime,” said Ms. Mak. “You can catch up with those who are far away by not just hearing their voice but seeing the face that goes with it.”
Advance registration is required by emailing Chris_Berryman@signalcenters.org or calling 423 432-6024. Deadline for registration is Friday, Oct. 26. Bring an iPad and charger.
