Chattanooga College Offers Free Classes And Health Care Screenings

Chattanooga College is offering free computer classes, free health care screenings, First Things First classes and literacy and math classes to parent to better equip them to assist the educational outcomes of their children. Classes will be taught by college instructors and invited experts.

Classes Begin Oct. 23:

Computer Classes - 4– 5 p.m.

Literacy and math classes - 4-5 p.m.

Health screenings - 3–5:30 p.m.

First Things First classes begin Nov. 6:

Work Smart, Live Well class - 1-5 p.m.

  • Communication and problem solving and job interviewing techniques
  • How to properly complete a job application and resume writing tips
  • Dressing for success and conflict management and corporate etiquette

Dinner will be served and certificates awarded. This is free to those who attend classes.

Free health screenings, free “5-Day RUSH” fitness passes, free refreshments and dinner, and free parking.

Man Stabbed To Death After Argument

A Chattanooga man was stabbed to death after an argument on Friday night. At approximately 11 p.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a stabbing at 101 E 20 th St. where they found the victim, Alexis Lewis, 51, lying on the walkway with a fatal stab wound to his chest.
