Haitian Pastor Guest At Signal Mountain Presbyterian

Pastor Leon Dorleans, of Haiti Outreach Ministries, will be the guest speaker for Family Night on Wednesday, at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church, 612 James Blvd., Signal Mountain. 

Dinner is at 5:30 p.m. (reservations by noon on Monday) with the adult program at 6:30 p.m. 

Pastor Dorleans is the senior pastor of the Christian Churches of Cite Solil, Blanchard, Ibo Beach and Repatriote. He is also the field director for Haiti Outreach Ministries. He will be a guest of the church from Oct.

23-24 and will tell of the work of the Gospel through evangelism, education, medical treatment and nutrition.

Bullet Comes Into Walker Road House During "Gun Battle"; Shots Fired Near Majestic Theatre

Police said a man and wife were listening to the disquieting sounds of a "gun battle" on Walker Road when one of the shots entered their home.
