Decosimo Advisory Team Presenting At Litigation Counsel Of America Conference

Managing Director Brent McDade and Senior Manager Sharon Hamrick of Decosimo Advisory Services will speak at the Litigation Counsel of America’s (LCA) 2012 Fall Conference & Induction of Fellows hosted Oct. 24-26 at The Breakers in Palm Beach, Fla.

Mr. McDade and Ms. Hamrick will co-present “How to Best Work With a Financial Expert Witness” on Oct. 26. Their presentation will be made to Fellows of the LCA, a highly-selective trial lawyer honorary society which represents less than one-half of one percent of American lawyers.


Brent McDade, ASA, CBA, CFFA, is managing director of Decosimo Advisory Services. A business appraiser since 1994, Mr. McDade’s  experience includes the appraisal of equity securities, debt instruments and derivatives. He also provides valuation services related to buy-sell agreements, employee stock ownership plans, estate and gift tax matters, fairness opinions, financial statement reporting, marital dissolutions, mergers and acquisitions, and shareholder disputes. Mr. McDade has served as an expert witness in disputes regarding business valuation and economic damages in federal and state courts, and is a frequent speaker on business valuation topics to groups of business owners and their advisors.

Sharon Hamrick, CPA, CFF, CFE, a senior manager with Decosimo Advisory Services, primarily provides commercial litigation support and consulting services, as well as forensic accounting services to support the deterrence and investigation of suspicions of corporate fraud in numerous businesses sectors including manufacturing, check-cashing and medical practices. Ms. Hamrick has extensive experience in financial analysis and preparation of expert reports for state and federal courts for both plaintiff and defendant attorneys, especially related to litigation involving economic damages, contract disputes, breach of contract, manufacturing and supply disputes, wrongful termination, personal injury and wrongful death.

Tennessee Unemployment Rates Down In 62 Counties, Up In 23, And No Change In 10

County unemployment rates in Tennessee for April 2013, released Thursday, show the rate decreased in 62 counties, increased in 23, and stayed the same in ten. Specific county information is available here . Knox County had the state’s lowest major metropolitan rate of 6.4 percent, up from 6.2 percent in March. Feds Dismiss Criminal Charges Against Rarity Developer Mike Ross

Federal authorities have dismissed an indictment against Mike Ross, the developer of a floundering Rarity Club project at Nickajack Lake in Marion County. Head Of BB&T's Chattanooga Commercial Banking Operations To Plead Guilty To Making Fraudulent Loans
