Chattanooga Oktobrfest Is Oct. 13-14

Tuesday, October 02, 2012

The fall season at Chattanooga Market kicks off this year with the 11th annual Chattanooga Oktoberfest on Saturday, Oct. 13, and Sunday, Oct. 14.  Presented by Village Volkswagen of Chattanooga, the festival includes an array of German traditions: brats and other German culinary foods, a bier garten featuring nearly four dozen local and season craft brews, the Wurstbrats Oompah band both days and a Scenic City Volks Folks car show.

As Chattanooga's oldest and largest Oktoberfest celebration, the festival draws crowds locally and regionally each year.  Many come to enjoy the sights, smells and sounds of the German traditions, bringing their families for a day of entertainment, shopping or to relax in the fall outdoors for free musical performances.  A schedule of activities for the weekend is below.  Admission is free.
