InfoSystems, one of the fastest-growing technology solutions providers in the Southeast, will showcase IBM PureSystems in their IBM Business Partner Innovation Center (BPIC) on Thursday, Oct. 18. The InfoSystems BPIC is the only facility of its kind in Tennessee, Georgia and Alabama.

The event will feature guest presenters from IBM, and InfoSystems technical experts will be on hand to discuss the expected benefits of this technology and how it can be applied in a business’ unique technical environment. Two demonstrations and panel discussions will be offered at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. at the InfoSystems office at 1317 Hickory Valley Road in Chattanooga. Guests can also enjoy refreshments, tour the BPIC and meet the InfoSystems’ team of experts.

IBM PureSystems, announced on April 11 this year, builds on knowledge gained from years of innovation, thousands of deployments and $2 billion in research, which led IBM to create a simplified approach that could “fundamentally change the economics of IT,” according to Rod Adkins, senior vice president for the IBM Systems and Technology Group. The shift in economics Adkins refers to comes from automating tasks associated with the deployment and ongoing management of computer networks and storage systems that are typically performed manually by an engineer, saving significant amounts of labor costs and freeing up personnel to focus on other business initiatives.
