Rep. Jim Cobb Indicted On Assault Charge

Rep. Jim Cobb of Rhea County has been indicted on a charge of simple assault.

The alleged incident happened at a polling place in the August primary.

The grand jury returned the indictment Monday on an original presentment.

Rep. Cobb was defeated in the August primary by Ron Travis.
